GREENCASTLE, Ind., March 16 --- James Valentine Durham, 82 years old, father of Andrew Durham, Putnam county representative in the last Legislature is dead at his home in Russellville. Bronchial pneumonia was the immediate cause. Mr. Durham formerly was connected with the Central National Bank here, but later established the Russellville bank, of which he was president at the time of his death. He is survived by the widow and four children, Ernest Durham of Russellville and Andrew Durham, Earl Durham and Mrs. J. C. Bridges of Greencastle. - kbz

James V. Durham, the father of Ernest and Andrew Durham died at the home of the former in Russellville last week. He was the founder of the Russellville Bank. - kbz

Greencastle, Ind March 16 – James V. Durham, veteran banker and pioneer resident of Russellville, Putnam County died at the home of his son, Ernest Durham, at Russellville Monday. Mr. Durham founded the Russellville bank and was its president at the time of his death, although he had retired from active business some time ago. He was also one of the founders of the Central National Bank of this city. Mr. Durham is survived by the widow; three sons, Ernest of Russellville; Earl and Andrew of this city. Andrew Durham was Putnam County’s Representative in the last legislature. One daughter, Mrs. JC Bridges of this city also survives. Mr. Durham was 82 years of age. The funeral will be held Wednesday at Russellville with burial in this city. - kbz
